Innocence and Sensibility

I wonder how many Boston liberals spent the night cowering in their homes wishing they had an AR-15 with a hi-capacity magazine?

Nate Bell (R), Arkansas State legislator

Which brought this response from an acquaintance who lives in Boston:

From my impression of this exchange, the point was missed. I believe the original writer was addressing the liberals general support of gun laws. The emphasis should have been on “wishing they had an AR-15 with a hi-capacity magazine” rather than “cowering in their homes”. Although upon further analysis I can totally see how “cowering” hit hard. It wasn’t to attack those who were helping; it was against those who may have decided a gun would have been useful in this case. #two cents *shrugs*

Why America Is Great

I’m going to start this off with a note that I don’t mean to trivialize other countries hardships. I hurt for the people who are in war torn countries and oppressive governments.

I also warn that this is a spur of the moment writing. The ideas are not fully developed. And there’s a huge risk for me sounding stupid. I only ask that there is respect and politeness.

America is great. Why? Because we are still surprised by acts of terrorism. We still see these as random senseless acts. And we’re surprised.

Panorama House by Moon Hoon

The basic request of upper and lower spatial organization and the shape of the site prompted a long and tin house with fluctuating facade which would allow for more differentiated view. The key was coming up with a multi-functional space which is a large staircase, bookshelves, casual reading space, home cinema, slide and many more…

The client was very pleased with the design, and the initial design was accepted and finalized almost instantly, only with minor adjustments. The kitchen and dining space is another important space where family gathers to bond. The TV was pushed away to a smaller living room. The attic is where the best view is possible, it is used as a play room for younger kids. The multi-use stair and slice space brings much active energy to the house, not only children, but also grown ups love the slide staircase…An action filled playful house for all ages…

The thing that made Lilo a “freak” was her passion. Lilo was passionate about everything she ever did. She was passionate about Elvis, about feeding the ocean fish sandwiches, about making friends, about taming Stitch, and about Hula. Look at her smile. She is the only one who seems to be truly enjoying what she’s doing. It adds life. Passion is life. It’s vitality. It’s amazing. Be a Lilo.
